My father would be so proud to see the three generations of McGroarty Nurseryman. I’d love to add at least one McGroarty girl to this crew but so far we have three little boys in the family. We’re counting on Kevin and Grace to add the girl or girls to the mix. Time will tell.
My father wasn’t a nurseryman but he was a true Irishman and loved to grow potatoes. He also loved kids. He really loved kids and I often think about how much fun he would have with Duston’s three boys. We lost my father in 2003 but without a doubt he left an amazing mark on the world.
Just a few days ago Duston and Lorelei had the kids over at the nursery and we had them try their hand at sticking cuttings. Lorelei snapped a ton of photos and I’ll get some of those photos posted along with the photos that I am going to post here today. I will update this page often so you can follow along on our journey.

It’s good teaching the boys to use the tools,
but don’t forget the safety aids.
We raised 6 children, and they were taught to use various tools, along with the safe use and use of gloves and goggles.

Lovely presentation. Would love to attend one or MORE of your shindigs. I originally came from a farm in Hanover, Pa, I now live and am retired in Hemet, California. Been here since winter of 1965. Tore up too many transmissions in the snow in Pa.
REALLY hope to join you one of these years before the Good Lord calls me home.

oh MIKE, WE RAISED FOUR BOYS WHO HAD ALL GIRLS. 4 GIRLS. OUR BOYS GREW UP IN GARDENS AND NOW OUR OLDEST HAS A GARDEN FROM WHICH THEY CAN FOOD. THEY ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO RETIREMENT AND HAVE PLANS FOR UPSTATE PA.
