I raise Japanese Maples here in Austin as a hobby. Have about 20 of them, some babies, some way more mature. The more mature ones I will need to sell in the next year. They are very nice trees, in huge cement pots from Silvestri in San Francisco. Guess you could dig them out of there! Is there a market in TX for these?

  5. Michelle Marbut says:

If any of you are willing to ship your trees and plants. I would love to hear from you.Hello,
Im interested in purchasing some plants and trees for my yard from someone near Kansas City. Im in Kansas but could go to Missouri as well. If anyone knows of a nursery near me or is willing to ship the plants and trees, I would appreciate it if you would reply back to me. I have MS and although I am unable to have a nursery due to mobility problems, I would love to purchase from someone who is building thier business this way. I am able to keep up with the ones in my yard but thats about it. We have plenty of land so I have alot of room to plant the things Ive always wanted. Good Luck to all of you and Congratulations for those of you that have your nurseries up and running. My email address is bfriendz2001@aol.com . Thanks so much, Michelle

  6. Patricia Crouch says:

Is there a backyard nursery near Dallas, Texas? Also, I have two live oak trees that are 40 years old and the roots are exposed above ground. Any suggestions? We thought about putting a flower bed, but someone told us that would kill the tree. Any suggestions? It’s unsightly and we are afraid someone will trip over them. Thank you.

  7. Donna Anderson says:

Patricia, there are several backyard nurseries in the Dallas area. We are located northeast of Dallas about 1/2 way between McKinney & Greenville on HWY 380. There are several around the Garland/Mesquite area and then some more between Dallas/Ft Worth. I don’t have their contact info at the moment. Hopefully, they’ll see this & respond. Let me know if we can help with anything.
On your tree, I would try covering the roots with soil as Mike suggested.
